Planned Intinerary
Day 1
Arrive Shannon Airport where we will be met by our Irish driver. Travel to the west coast of Clare.
Transportation Jerry Quinlan’s Celtic Golf Chauffeur Driven 2008 Model Luxury Vehicle equipped with leather recliners, air conditioning, card tables, CD/DVD, satellite TV, refrigerators, lavatory, and the full services of a professional Irish driver/guide. The vehicle will be available for group transfer to and from the airport, transport between hotels and golf courses, as well as daily sightseeing within time restraints.
Optional Golf - Optional Round at Doonbeg Golf (Additional $280.00)
Sightseeing – The Cliffs of Moher - rising 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. There is a new interpretation area called “Atlantic Edge” which includes a range of encounters for the visitor within the main dome with themed ‘Ocean, Rock, Nature & Man’ exhibits exploring the multiple aspects of the Cliffs of Moher. You can also experience ‘The Ledge’ taking you on a virtual cliff face journey both above and below sea level.
Accommodations: Two nights at Vaughan Lodge. , Lahinch, Co. Clare (4* Country House Hotel) :
Day 2
Golf: Lahinch/Old.
Day 3
Depart Co. Clare and travel to Co. Kerry via the Killimer-Tarbert Ferry.
Golf: Ballybunion/Old.
Sightseeing: Continue to the picturesque town of Killarney with its jaunting cars, famous lakes and mountains, numerous shops, restaurants and pubs.
Accommodations: Four nights at The Malton, Killarney, Co. Kerry (4* Superior Hotel, Traditional Rooms)
Day 4
Golf: Tralee Golf Club.
Day 5
Golf: Killarney/Killeen.
Sightseeing: The Muckross House, a magnificent Victorian mansion that portrays the lifestyles of the landed Gentry, while downstairs in the basement, one can experience the working conditions of the servants employed by the house. The Gardens are noted for their fine collections of azaleas and rhododendrons, an extensive water garden, and an outstanding rock garden hewn out of natural limestone. You can take a jaunting cart ride from Muckross House to the Torc Waterfall in Killarney National Park also.
Day 6
Golf: Waterville.
Sightseeing: Enroute, enjoy one of Europe’s most spectacular drives, a trip around the Ring of Kerry, glorying in a landscape that has inspired poets throughout the centuries. Quiet meadows, wild moorland and dramatic mountains intermingle with a ragged Atlantic coastline of beaches and strikingly beautiful coves. This beautiful drive includes many photo stops.
Day 7 Return to Shannon for return flight to the US.
Flight: Aer Lingus 13 Sept.
EI #125 departs Shannon at 12.45 pm; arrives Chicago at 4.30 pm
